Dessicant and evaporative cooling systems- air-conditioning from the sun
DEC (Dessicant Evaporative Cooling) Technology is a new technology for air conditioning. A DEC system is an air-handling unit, able to process tens of thousands cubic metres of water per hour, refrigerating temperature and humidity of the air. This is possible because the salts catch humidity and temperature of the air. DEC system can also effect a post dehumidification to reach the total comfort of air conditioning.

In the process, the sun continues to regenerate the absorbing salts. Solar energy is the free energetic restorer of the plant.

A solar cooling DEC system is made by a solar field, one or more cylinders and an air-handling unit.
The plant is completed with an air-conditioning distribution system.

This type of plant is optimized coupled with low temperature radiant systems which can use thermal energy in winter granted by vacuum solar collectors as a heating solution.
